PURPOSE: An armrest installing structure for a rear seat of a vehicle is provided to make a rear seat to be folded maximally without interference with a wheel house panel by installing the arm rest on the body rotatable. CONSTITUTION: A structure of an armrest is composed of: an armrest body(10); an armrest rotating shaft(20) fixed on the rear end of the armrest body; a guide pin(40) supported on the end part of the armrest rotating shaft by a return spring and having its one part to be installed to be protruded on the rotating shaft; a guide pin operation shaft(50) having an inclined section on its one section to make the protruded part of the guide pin appear and disappear and having an operation button on the other end; a pipe for supporting an armrest rotating shaft(60) having a hole for guiding a pin to limit the rotating range of the armrest rotating shaft and supporting the armrest rotating shaft; and a pair of armrest brackets(70,80) having pipe for supporting a rotating shaft to fix the armrest supporting pipe and fixed on the wheel house panel. Herein, the armrest body is supported to the pipe for supporting a rotating shaft to be able to turn and operated separately from the rear seat. Thereby, the rear seat can be turned over without regard to the wheel house of the vehicle body according to the prevention of movement of the armrest body.
