PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject highly reliable and highly color-developing ink capable of affording high print quality on plain paper and reclaimed paper, and to provide a method for ink jet printing using the above ink. SOLUTION: This ink for ink jet printing use is such one as to be <=40 mNm-1 in surface tension at 20 deg.C, contain glycerol and p-toluenesulfonamide (ethylene oxide adduct) and also contain a polyhydric alcohol derivative and/or acetylene glycol-based surfactant as a penetrant, and furthermore, as a colorant, a water-soluble pigment which becomes dispersible in water at least by being subjected to surface oxidation treatment. |
