PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a waterproof sheet having a simple structure move smoothly and substantially. SOLUTION: This apparatus for keeping out rain comprises a waterproof sheet 1 which is wound up to make a chamber S for keeping out rain open and drawn out to make the chamber S close, a rotation axis 3 which winds or feeds by rotating the axis, a motor 5 which makes the rotation axis 3 drive, a supporting shaft 8 that supports directly or indirectly the rotation axis 3 up and horizontally, a guide 9 that supports the bottom surface of the waterproof sheet 1 which is directly or indirectly fixed and wound or fed on the supporting shaft 8, a rain sensor 6 which detects rain, and a controller 7 that directs to the motor 5 so as to wind or feed the waterproof sheet 1 on the basis of a sensing signal of the rain sensor 6.
