DISC BRAKE PAD AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc brake pad which is effective for prevention of creaking and which is advantageous in view of the cost thereof. SOLUTION: A disc brake pad 1 is composed of a friction member which is divided by a bisecting line passing through the projected plane of a piston, into an A-friction member 2 and a B-friction member in 3 in a direction along the rotation of the disc. The hardness of the A-friction member 2 on the leading side (disc oncoming rotation side) is less than 60 to 90% of the hardness of the B-friction disc member 3.
