PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water drain section for a cold preservation container in which no dew is formed at an outer surface of a water drain plug and no leakage of thermal insulating material occurs. SOLUTION: There is provided a water drain section P1 of a cold preservation container B comprised of an outer box 1 forming an outer wall; an inner box 2 forming an inner wall; an indentation 11 where the outer box 1 is indented toward the inner box 2; and a cylinder 4 having a water drain hole passing through the outer box 1 and the inner box 2 at the indentation 11. A certain clearance is formed between the outer box 1 and the inner box 2 of the indentation 11 and then a thermal insulating material 3 is present at this clearance. In addition, there is provided a sealing means C1 for preventing the thermal insulating material 3 from leaking out.
