PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a recess generated on the surface of a hood inconspicuous by forming a step difference on the reverse of the hood, and forming a reinforcing rib along the reverse part of the step difference in integrally molding the reinforcing rib on the reverse of the hood. SOLUTION: In integrally molding a reinforcing rib 9c on the reverse of a hood 9 for covering the upper part of an engine room, a step difference 9d is formed on the surface of the hood 9, and the reinforcing rib 9c is formed along the reverse part of the step difference 9d. Thus, even if a recess is generated on the surface of the hood 9 by thermal contraction at molding time since the forming part of the reinforcing rib 9c becomes partially thick, the recess is generated in the step difference 9d part formed on the surface of the hood 9. Thus, the recess becomes more inconspicuous than when the recess is generated on the flat surface, so that inconvenience such as impairing an external appearance of the hood 9 can be avoided while forming the reinforcing rib 9c on the reverse of the hood 9.
