PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stencil printer of a structure in which a plate cylinder can be removed only on a specified position in the rotating direction to a main body. SOLUTION: A stencil printer is provided with a driving gear 50 provided in a main body and connected with a motor, a plate cylinder mounted removably on the main body and having a stencil original paper fitted on its outer peripheral face and a driven gear 60 provided on one end face of the plate cylinder and intermeshed with the driving gear when being mounted on the main body. Respective parts 51 and 61 of teeth of the driving gear and the driven gear 60 are formed of modules different from other sections of teeth. Gears are not intermeshed each other on the sections other than the above section. The position relation of the rotating direction of both gears 50 and 60 is same before and after removing the plate cylinder, and the phase of a main body driving system is conformed to the phase of the plate cylinder without fail. Both gears 50 and 60 are manufactured by one punching and at low cost.
