PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy of distance between the heater on a heater board and a reference protrusion by coating a wafer-like heater board not yet cut with a resin material and forming a reference protrusion on the heater board by laser trimming the resin material. SOLUTION: Heaters 1a are arranged specifically on the upper surface of a wafer-like heater board 1 not yet cut which is then coated with a resin material 1b. The resin material 1b on the heater board 1 is then irradiated with laser light and trimmed to form a reference protrusion 1c. Subsequently, the heater board 1 is cut along a cut line S to manufacture a heater board 1 of specified size. Since the accuracy of interval between the heater 1a and the cutting face of the heater board 1 can be relaxed when the heater board 1 is cut along a cut line S, manufacturing yield of the heater board 1 can be increased.
