PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rotary type line guide, capable of reducing the line entanglement which is a point of a trouble of an outer through rod by constituting it with a mounting part to the rod and a specific rotary part. SOLUTION: This rotary type line guide is constituted by a mounting part 2 to a rod, a rotary part 5 rotating around the mounting part 2 and bored with a line guiding hole 4 for a fishing line. In this case, it is preferable that the rotary part 5 is made as capable of freely sliding relative to the mounting part 2 in the shaft direction. Also, in a fishing rod A having plural line guides, the line guides at the tip of a head rod and at a grip rod 9 side are fixed type line guides not rotating around the fishing rod A, and it is possible to make the line guide in the middle position between the line guides at the tip of the head rod and at the grip rod 9 side as the rotary type line guide capable of rotating around the fishing rod A.
