PURPOSE: A control system reducing distortion generated by electric circuits is provided to erase distortion by traversing or sweeping pilot signals over the operating frequency band of the electric circuit. CONSTITUTION: A control system reducing distortion generated by electric circuits(108)comprises a carrier circuit(171). The circuit(108) has an operating frequency band and receives pilot signals for substantially erasing the distortion. The carrier circuit(171) generates a carrier signal(306) modulated by the pilot signal. The modulated carrier signal traverses over at least one portion of the operating frequency band. The control system has further single side band modulator(188) generating the pilot signal and coupled to the carrier circuit.
