DEVICE FOR BRAKING ROPE FOR ELEVATOR

PURPOSE: A device for braking a rope for an elevator is provided to safely operate the elevator when the elevator is unexpectedly lifted or fallen faster than a normal speed or is moved slowly in the stopped state. CONSTITUTION: A supporting plate(3) and a first and a second operating plates(4)(5) stuck linings(41)(51) facing each other are installed maintaining regular intervals by many connecting members(2) in the front and the rear sides of a fixing plate(11) of a frame(1) installed installing members(12) in a braking device of a rope for an elevator. The connecting member(2) is penetrated in the fixing plate(11) to be able to move with inserting in a sleeve bushing(21) and a rebound spring(6) is installed between the first and the second operating plates(4)(5). A flange unit(71) of a hydraulic cylinder(7) connected with a unit for generating a hydraulic pressure(8) is inserted in a supporting plate(3) and a front end of an operating plunger(72) of the hydraulic cylinder(7) to form a stopper(72a) in the outer circumference is closed in the one side of the first operating plate(4) by penetrating the fixing plate(11).
