PURPOSE: A negative pressure head slider is provided to have a high floating stability and a high rolling rigidity. CONSTITUTION: A negative pressure head slider(14) comprises a first air bearing plane(24)which is formed at a floating plane(19) of a slider body and extends toward a slider width direction at a top side of the slider body. A pair of second air bearing planes(25a,25b) are divided from the first air bearing plane(24) to be formed at the floating plane(24). The pair of second air bearing planes(25a,25b) are arranged toward the slider width direction at a bottom side of the slider body, with a flowing path(22) interposed therebetween.
