PURPOSE: A display panel is provided to increase the conversion efficiency from an electromagnetic wave into a visible ray. CONSTITUTION: In order to increase the conversion efficiency, a display panel having a fluorescent layer(14) radiating by an electromagnetic wave generated by discharge is formed on a concave and a convex surfaces. Because the fluorescent layer is formed on the concave and the convex surfaces, the surface area of the fluorescent layer is increased, and the amount of ultra violet rays in discharge space patched by the fluorescent layer is increased, and the conversion efficiency is increased and the luminance is increased by increasing the amount of radiation. The display panel has a back surface glass substrate(10) on its back side. The fluorescent layer is formed on the inner surface of a concave(12) formed on the back surface glass substrate. A pair of mother electrodes(22a) are arranged on the back side of a front surface glass substrate(20), and each of them is connected to transparent electrodes(24a,24b) respectively. And a dielectric layer(26) and a passivation film(28) are formed to cover the transparent electrodes. A discharge occurs in a part adjacent to the passivation film in the concave. |
