PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer image receiving sheet having an antifriction strength and antiabrasion property in the surface of an acceptable layer in a thermal transfer image receiving sheet including an acceptable layer formed by the use of a powder composition. SOLUTION: The image receiving sheet is featured such that a thermal transfer image receiving sheet 1 is formed by providing a powder layer made up of a powder composition including color dyeing resin on the surface of a base material 2, after that, an acceptable layer is formed by heat melting the powder layer before being subjected to a compression and fixation, the acceptable layer of which is provided on the base material 2, wherein a quantity of separation by an abrasion test of the acceptable layer 4 is made 4 g/m2 or lower.
