PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and inexpensively provide an apparatus capable of carrying out crimping of a large amount of squid by automating deep cutting process for slices of raw squid for uniformly forming crimps at a minute pitch and of excellently securing quality and texture. SOLUTION: A chopping board 2 is arranged on a workbench 1 and a guide plate 10 rising and falling on the chopping board is installed. The guide plate is equipped with a cutter supporting body 14 bestriding the guide plate so as to horizontally reciprocate the cutter supporting body in the direction of the guide plate. The guide plate is provided with a great number of slits 11 at minute intervals in the direction of the movement of the supporting body. The cutter supporting body is equipped with a great number of cutter knives 21 which are attached to each slit and where the tips of the knives are projected from the undersurface of the guide plate. The guide plate 10 is dropped and brought into contact with a material 30 to be treated on the chopping board 2. In the contact state, the cutter supporting body 14 is reciprocated and the material 30 to be treated is provided with crimps 30a smaller than the thickness of the material to be treated by the cutter knives 21. |
