PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anticorrosive composed of a reaction product of monosaccharide and/or disaccharide and alkali metal hydroxide and/or alkali metal carbonate, in which, while the characteristics of the anticorrosive are maintained, the generation of an offensive smell is suppressed and to proved its producing method. SOLUTION: This anticorrosive for a soft water boiler is composed of components obtd. by reacting monosaccharide and/or disaccharide with alkali metal hydroxide and/or alkali metal carbonate and is a reaction product obtd. by reacting monosaccharide and/or disaccharide with alkali metal hydroxide and/or alkali metal carbonate in an inert gas atmosphere. |
