PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift capable of lifting a cargo supporting body efficiently by avoiding a load in raising X-type scissors. SOLUTION: A pair of X-type scissors in which first and second arms 24 and 25 are crossed with each other is put on a frame, and a table is installed on them. The X-type scissors raise the table 13 because both arms 24 and 25 are rotated so as to be raised from the folded state. Also, one end of the first chain 42 is installed onto the lower part of the arm 25, and one end of the second chain 43 is installed on the table 13 so that both chains 42 and 43 are wound up by the driving of one motor 46 through a differential gear device 47. By this, the table 13 is raised by a force in either horizontal or vertical direction whichever a torque is smaller. Then, either of the chains 42 and 43 only are wound up according to a load applied when the table 13 is raised.
