METHOD FOR PROCESSING DIGITAL IMAGE DATA, APPARATUS FOR OPERATING DIGITAL IMAGE DATA, AND DIGITAL PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly reconstitute an image by dividing a digital record to a plurality of image segments, distributing the segments to at least two image-processing units, operating the digital record with use of the units and recombining image areas of the image segments. SOLUTION: An apparatus 10 as a digital photographic printer has a CPU 12 which operates in accordance with commands from a photograph-finishing laboratory and/or a customer requiring development of a photographic film and image-printing. The apparatus also has a scanner 16 for scanning a photosensitive film developed by a processor 14 to obtain a digital record of the image, and sends the obtained digital record to a digital processing part 18. The digital processing part 18 takes out desired data in accordance with a request of a print organization interface unit from a plurality of image-processing units, divides the image to a plurality of image segments and recombines image areas of the segments so as to reconstitute the image.
