PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent abnormal noise and damage during movement of a monitor portion by providing an infrared radiation sensor in a monitor portion, recognizing a distance based on a reflection time of infrared radiation reflecting on an obstacle existing on a moving track of the monitor portion, interrupting or stopping operation of a driving mechanism before abutting to the obstacle. SOLUTION: An infrared radiation sensor 3 is provided on the upper surface side of the tip of a monitor portion 2, and a driving mechanism recognizes its distance based on a reflection time of infrared radiation 3 reflecting on an obstacle 4 existing on a moving track of the monitor portion 2 and is programmed so as to interrupt or stop the driving operation. Assuming the obstacle 4 is, for example, a shift knob 4a, approaching of the monitor portion 2 to the shift knob 4a interrupts a running operation of the monitor portion 2 before abutting on the shift knob 4a. When the shift knob 4a is backed, the monitor portion 2 restarts operation. When the tip side of the monitor portion 2 approaches an instrument panel 4b of a vehicle as the obstacle 4, rotation operation is stopped or interrupted based on the reflection time of the infrared radiation.
