PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an odoring agent imparting an odor of a new car and a sense of a new car to a car which has already lost its odor as a new car and keeping it for a long time. SOLUTION: The odor which an automobile emits when it is new is a mixture of odor components emitted from various part products of new automobile. The part products are a synthetic resin sheet covering a dashboard, a cloth product located inside the doors to open and close, a cloth product covered on ceiling and floor, front and rear seats, rubber products covering the circumference of the doors, machine oils from an engine room, a fan, a fan belt, etc. A certain amount of these components of the odor is collected, and the components are identified and ratios of each component are estimated using an analyzer of the odor. For example, it is subjected to gas chromatographic analysis, and the components are identified by the location of each peak and the quantities are estimated by the height of each peak and blending ratios are determined. These components include main components of synthetic resins, compounded chemicals such as plasticizers, carpet fibers, and volatiles such as machine oils, etc. A synthetic odoring agent is prepared when identification of each component and compounding ratios are confirmed.
