PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod holder that can surely hold the rod without attaching a clamp to the rod and permit the fishing rod to be easily attached to and detached from. SOLUTION: This fishing rod holder is equipped with the rod-claming part 8 to be attached to the upper part of the base bed 5 where the rod-clamping part 8 is equipped with a couple of openable arms 10 for holding the fishing rod 101, with the arm-opening and closing means 20 that can hold the rod in both states that the arms are closed and opened by switching and with a supporter 15 that can detachably support this arm-opening and closing means 20. One end of a pair of the arms 10 is axially supported by the opening and closing means 20 and a link arm 35 is set between its middle part and the supporter 15. Finally, the openable arms 10 are closably linked via the link arm 35 to the supporter 15 and supported by the supporter 15.
