PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working machine for raising up outer leaves for head- forming vegetables capable of improving the operating efficiency. SOLUTION: This working machine is obtained by installing a travel part 12 in the lower part of a machine body 11, standing a pair of cylinders 13 for lifting and lowering arms in the travel part 12, installing a freely liftable and lowerable arm holding part 14 in the upper part of the machine body 11, holding four lifting and lowering arm units 15 with the arm holding part 14, forming an outer leaf raising up part 61 in the tip of each of the four lifting and lowering arm units 15, making each outer leaf raising up part 61 enter the lower side of outer leaves 2 while advanncing and moving from the outer peripheral side of a Chinese cabbage 1 toward the formed head part 3 on the central side, further locating each outer leaf raising up part 61 in the lateral side adjacent to the formed head part 3, lifting the outer leaf raising up part 61 from the four adjacent positions at a mutual regular interval kept therebetween in the peripheral direction of the formed head part 3 and raising up the outer leaves 2.
