摘要 PURPOSE: A method is provided to examine the ceramic cotyloid cavity for endoprostheses of a hip joint. CONSTITUTION: The ceramic cotyloid cavity comprises a metal shaft fixed in the thighbone, and a ceramic spherical head arranged on the meal shaft and inserted into the ceramic cotyloid cavity. The ceramic cotyloid cavity is fixed in the hip bone directly or through an external cell. In the situation that the inner surface of the cotyloid cavity(1) is loaded and all dimensional elements of the cotyloid cavity(1) is physiologically loaded, the cotyloid cavity(1) or its insert has a stress stronger than that stress occurring under the physiological load. A half head(2) made of deformable material is pressed into the cotyloid cavity(1) under load. The deformable material of the half head(2) is a polymer or plastic. The cotyloid cavity(1) is filled with a fluid(7).
