PURPOSE: A display apparatus is provided to obtain a panel type display apparatus having a sufficient intensity by combining bars corresponding to four edges of a display panel to form a rectangular frame and by installing a display panel and a circuit board to the frame. CONSTITUTION: A pair of slit aperture portions(26,27) are formed on a right surface of a frame (25) for inserting an optical unit(40) and an optical panel(48) into the frame(25). A pair of hold-back grooves(28,29) are formed in an inner portion of an upper edge and a lower edge of the frame for being inserted into the optical unit(40) and the optical panel(48) when the optical unit(40) and the optical panel(48) are inserted through slit aperture portions(26,27). A liquid crystal panel(32) is installed on a front surface side of the frame(25). The liquid crystal panel(32) is fixed to the frame(25) by a pair of hold-back members(34,35) and a suitable number of fixing screws(36). A circuit board(58) and a pair of set circuit board(59) are attached on a rear surface side of the frame(25) by a bracket(60).
