PURPOSE: An air cleaner is provided to detect the target level for cleaning air in an optional place as well as the surrounding of the air cleaner and to automatically drive the cleaner according to the target level. CONSTITUTION: An air cleaner for(1) contains a remote controller for driving an air cleaner body, a sensor detecting the target level for cleaning air, and a control unit controlling the driving level of the body with a maximum level according to the basis of the output level from the sensor. Also, the sensor is composed of a pollution sensor(55) for detecting air pollution and a body sensor(56) for detecting motion of a human being with a non-contact process.
