PURPOSE: A method and a device for transferring data capable of easily performing DMA(Direct Memory Access) transfer function between different two buses, and specifying portion of the question in short time are provided. CONSTITUTION: A first bus(11) and a second bus(12) are connected through a bus repeater(13) having a buffer memory. The bus repeater(13) issues DMA requests to the respective DMA controllers(22,27) and the requests are masked by respective CPUs (21,26). The CPU(21) directly accesses the buffer to check DMA function. Thus, the debugging of the system for performing DMA transfer through buffer between different buses is easily performed.
