PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device capable of passing an inflation gas discharged from a gas discharge opening along the axial direction of each gas circulating hole. SOLUTION: An airbag device M is formed enclosing a cylinder type inflator 7 for developing and inflating a folded air bag 5 in a case 22 with a gas discharge opening 7b disposed at one end. A diffuser 10 having a plurality of gas circulating holes 13, 14 is placed in the portion 5b of the airbag 5 into which an inflation gas G from the inflator 7 flows. The plurality of gas circulating holes 13, 14 are disposed along the axial direction of the inflator 7. Flange portions 15, 16, 17, 18 that project toward the inflator 7 along the axial direction of each of the gas circulating holes 13, 14 are formed on the peripheral edges of the gas circulating holes 13, 14 except those peripheral edges located away from the gas discharge opening 7b. |
