PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the degree of freedom of design by enabling an atrium opening to be provided across building units even if the building units are made of wood. SOLUTION: An atrium opening 5 is provided across adjacent upper-story building units 3a, 3b, and lower-story building units 2a, 2b located below the atrium opening 5 are each provided with a bearing wall 6 supporting the floor 32 of each upper-story building unit 3a, 3b and extending in the longitudinal direction of the atrium opening 5 across the joint between the lower-story building units 2a, 2b while situated in a position near the atrium opening 5. Thus even if the atrium opening 5 is provided across the upper-story building units 3a, 3b, the load of the floor face of each upper-story building unit 3a, 3b is supported by the side wall 21 of each lower-story building unit 2a, 2b and the bearing wall 6 opposite thereto.
