PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the housing efficiency, and improve the computing speed at the time of carry-in by previously sorting loads into plural groups in response to the load width, detecting what group each load for carry-in belongs to, and housing the only load of the same load width group in one unit area. SOLUTION: Groups of warehouse provided with multiple unit warehouse 1 in parallel with each other, a carry-in and a carry-out conveyors 2, 3 are provided, and both the conveyors 2, 3 are extended to a delivery zone 4 so that loads are transferred onto a truck. A temporary storage shelf 12 extended from a shelf of each stage is connected to one end of each housing 5, and a pair of lifts 14 are arranged outside thereof. The shelf can house plural loads having a different load width from each other, at this stage, the loads are divided into four groups, for example, in response to the load width thereof. Sensors are provided at appropriate positions such as the terminal of a carry-in conveyor 18 and the temporary storage shelf 12, and group of the carry-in load is detected, and loading is performed so that the only loads of the same load width group are housed in one unit area. |
