PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out high-image quality, high-gradation recording by setting a shape of ink drops to be discharged for forming one pixel. SOLUTION: The apparatus has a liquid chamber for storing ink, a plurality of ink discharge ports communicating with the liquid chamber via a liquid path and a heater set in the liquid path. A pulse signal is input to the heater thereby generating air bubbles to the ink in the liquid path, and at the same time ink drops 24 are discharged to fly from the ink discharge ports by an acting force subsequent to the swell of air bubbles and adhered to a body 25 to be recorded in the liquid-jet recording apparatus. The discharge port has an opening area of smaller than 500μm2. The ink drop 24 is formed into a slim column when flying and records flying while a length is made 3-10 times a diameter. |
