PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin filling aluminum hydroxide which imparts flame retardance to thermosetting resins such as epoxy resins and, simultaneously, has properties capable of quick curing upon molding. SOLUTION: A resin filling aluminum hydroxide has an average particle diameter of 0.5-100μm and has been subjected to surface treatment with an epoxy resin of the type selected from the group consisting of bisphenol A, bisphenol F, brominated bisphenol A, hydrogenated bisphenol F, bisphenol S, bisphenol AF, biphenyl, naphthalene, fluorene, phenol novolak, o-cresol novolak, bisphenol A novolak, tri-functionality, and tetraphenylethane.
