PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a clearance during shearing at a state approximately equal to a clearance during racing as much as possible and facilitate regulation of a clearance and to reduce the weight of a ram and a table. SOLUTION: When a work W is sheared in coordination of an upper blade 15 arranged at the lower end of a vertically movable ram 17 withαlower blade it arranged at the rear end of a table 9, since an inclination angle a between a ram 17 and the apron part 13 of the table 9 is provided, the upper and lower blades 15 and 11 are deformed in a direction in which the upper and lower blades 15 and 11 approach each other through the action of a shearing force during shearing and deformation to widen a clearance by a sideways force is offset. With the increase of the inclination angle a between the ram 17 and the apron part 13, a sideways bending amount of the upper and lower blades 15 and 11 by a shearing force is increased but since each inclination angleαis lower than the inclination angle of the shearing force, even when an actual clearance is erroneously set to a too lower value, there is no fear for jamming.
