PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food storage Container that employs an existent general- purpose container body with a turndown edge and a lid body accommodating an elastomeric member so that a part of the lid body can be easily opened and closed while ensuring excellent sealing performance. SOLUTION: A container body 1 with a peripheral turndown edge 11 is externally mounted with a substantially frame-shaped lid body 2 with a peripheral suspended edge 21, between which is kept a frame-shaped elastomeric member 5. A line of projection 25 projecting inwardly and generally horizontally from a suspended wall 24 of the lid body 2 located about a cutout 23 grips an elastomeric member 3, with which the end of a suspended wall 45 extending down from the underside of a lid 4 pivotable on the lid body 2 is placed in close contact from above. A substantiallyΓ-shaped tongue 42 extending from the free end of the lid 4 engages the lower end of the lid body 2.
