TRAFFIC INFORMATION TERMINAL USING DIGITAL AUDIO BROADCASTING

PURPOSE: A traffic information terminal using digital audio broadcasting is provided to quickly receive local traffic information at low cost by receiving traffic information provided through a digital audio broadcasting(DAB) and by displaying received traffic information as a still picture. CONSTITUTION: A tuner(301) receives an RF wireless broadcasting signal. A COFD demodulator(302) demodulates the RF wireless broadcasting signal received in the tuner(301). An audio decoder(303) extracts an audio broadcasting data in the output signal of the COFD demodulator(302) and decodes the extracted audio broadcasting data. A digital/analog converter(304) converts the output signal of the audio decoder(303) into an analog signal and outputs the analog signal through a speaker. A fast information data channel(FIDC) decoder(305) decodes the output signal of the COFD demodulator(302). A fast information channel(FIC) encoder(306) provides a data position to a multiplex, data distance information, error detecting information, condition access information. A data interface unit(307) receives the output signal of the COFD demodulator(302) or a data from a system controller(310) to transmit the received signal to a JPEG decoder(308).
