PURPOSE: A display apparatus is provided to be capable of designing a character, a diagram and a symbol with a dimension or with a plane at a base panel by use of a light source of a line shape. CONSTITUTION: A display apparatus has a base panel(10) and a light source(2) or an ELfiber of a line shape having two electrodes, and radiates the light source of the line shape. At least one conductive member is provided at the base panel. Either one of the two electrodes of the light source is inserted in a slot(10a) or a through hole of the base panel(10). Either one of the electrodes is electrically connected to the at least one conductive member. The base panel(10) has such a structure that the conductive member and an insulation member layer are piled up alternatively.
