PURPOSE: A wireless communication system and a method for allotting high speed data resource in the system are provided to assure effective resource allotment by a base station controller. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication system comprises an SDU(210, selection distribution unit) and a BSD(202, base station controller) connected to the SDU. The SDU is connected to a packet data network in order to receive high speed data, connected to a transfer device in order to transfer the high speed data to prescribed mobile unit, and comprises an allotment unit allotting resource related to the high speed data transfer device in accordance with the quantity of the high speed data.
