PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elevate/lower a floor of an operation part recessed in a rear part of a vehicle body to meet the height of an operator standing thereon. SOLUTION: In a standing type forklift to effect the cargo handling work in which an operator stands on a floor 4 of an operation part 2 recessed in a rear part of a vehicle body 1 and steps on a brake pedal 15 on the floor 14, and operates a cargo handling part 16 provided on the vehicle body 1 to drive the vehicle body 1 and a fork provided on a forward part of the vehicle body 1, the floor 14 is elevated/lowered integratedly with the brake pedal 15, and an electric power cylinder 21 to elevate/lower the floor 14 is provided.
