PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suit hanger which is compactly attached to the back rest to a chair and is not obstructive at the time of not hanging suits and projects to above the back rest to allow the orderly hanging of the suits at the time of use. SOLUTION: A longitudinally long ratchet lever 5 is hung to a hanger main body 1. This ratchet lever 5 is vertically slidably fixed to the central part of a stationary disk 2 mounted at the back rest of the chair so that the hanger main body 1 may be housed to the rear side of the back rest at the time of nonuse and that the hanger main body 1 may be projected above the back rest at the time of use.
