PURPOSE: A unit capable of being attached and detached to a body of an image forming apparatus is provided to obtain an image having a stable development agent density. CONSTITUTION: A unit capable of being attached and detached to a body of an image comprises a development part and a memory part. The development part(4) develops an image retained on an image retaining part. The memory part(20) memories a lapse time from a final development operation of the development part. An image density control circuit(19) detects a density of a development agent image for a density detection, and controls an image density on the basis of the detected density.
