PURPOSE: An attenuated respiratory syncytial virus(RSV) is provided, which is a biologically originated RSV or a recombinant RSV, and is suitable for producing viral vaccine and the vaccine is also provided. CONSTITUTION: An attenuated RSV is a wild type which is incompletely attenuated by cold subculture, or a recombinant RSV in which, a mutant related to temperature sensitive phenotype or cold adaptable phenotype is introduced. The recombinant RSV includes other mutant related to structural characteristic and/or phenotypic characteristic of the attenuated RSV or the infectious RSV. The recombinant RSV includes the specific mutants by the insertion, the deletion, the substitution, or the rearrangement of the selected nucleotide sequence, gene, or gene fragment in the infectious RSV clone.
