PURPOSE: A method for deleting TV channels in an edition mode is provided to selectively delete channels about time correction, when classifying the channels using PDC/VPS(Program Delivery Code/Video Programmable System) data. CONSTITUTION: A method for deleting TV channels in an edition mode comprises the steps of: performing an edition mode when a TV system is on by a user's selection; detecting a PDC(Program Delivery Code) when a channel deletion key is inputted by the user's selection in the edition mode; deciding whether a national code and ID(Identification) of a broadcasting station are agreed in the detected PDC; performing a deletion function when the national code and the ID are not agreed, and displaying warning data, which the channels for deleting is about channel correction, during the set time when the national code and the ID are agreed; deciding whether another key about channel deletion cancellation is inputted during the set time, finishing the channel deletion function when the key is inputted, and deleting corresponding channels when the key is not inputted.
