<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of spark discharge around a rotary atomizing head without lowering coating efficiency. SOLUTION: A rotary shaft 9 is formed from an insulating material and a rotary atomizing head 11 having a semiconductive film 14 for an atomizing head comprising an insulating resin material formed to the outer peripheral surface thereof is attached to the leading end of the rotary shaft 9. Further, a first restriction ring 15 is fixed to the leading end surface 6D of a motor main body 6 and a second restriction ring 17 is fitted in the annular recessed groove 12H of the rotary atomizing head 11. A first circular arc-shaped film 16 is formed to the outer peripheral surface of the first restiction ring 15 and a second circular arc-shaped film 18 is formed to the outer peripheral surface of the second restriction ring 17. A current supply semiconductive film 19 is formed to the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft 9 so as to be positioned between the circular arc-shaped films 16, 18. The high voltage applied to an air motor 5 is supplied to the paint discharge end edge 12E of the rotary atomizing head 11 through the first circular arc-shaped film 16, the current supply semiconductive film 19, the second circular arc-shaped film 18 and the semiconductive film 14 for the atomizing head.</p> |
