摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic and electricity draining method for a gas diffusion electrode which facilitates mounting of the gas diffusion electrode and a cathode current collecting frame, reduces the electric resistance of a juncture and further, allows the renewal of only the gas diffusion electrode at the time of electrode renewal. SOLUTION: A conductor consisting of a metallic mesh worked material 8 is exposed only in the outer peripheral part of the gas diffusion electrode 7 constituted by enveloping the conductor consisting of the metallic mesh worked material having excellent electrical conductivity with a catalyst layer and this exposed portion is connected to the cathode current collecting frame 4 and is utilized as the electricity drainage part to a cathode element. The gas chamber for supplying oxygen and the cathode current collecting frame are provided with a channel part 3 projecting from the gas chamber toward the cathode element in the prescribed position. The electricity drainage part of the gas diffusion electrode is inserted into this groove part and a wedge 10 is embedded therein, by which the cathode current collecting frame and the gas diffusion electrode are preferably brought into contact with each other.
