PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a biodegradable film or sheet capable of clearing environmental problems and substantially free from persistence of odor and/or coloring property in technical field of packaging materials and containers for food. SOLUTION: This biodegradable film or sheet comprises an aliphatic polyester polymer having lactic acid monomer unit in the molecule and having >=50 wt.% lactic acid monomer component content and the aliphatic polyester polymer is a mixture of a polylactic acid with an aliphatic polyester comprising an aliphatic ester of an aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acid other than lactic acid and/or an aliphatic diol with an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid.
