PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition excellent in sealability of a corrugated carton and in retention by constituting of an emulsion of an acrylic polymer including respectively specific amounts of an acrylic monomer, an acrylamide monomer, an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and a copolymerizable monomer as monomer unit. SOLUTION: This composition comprises an emulsion which contains an acrylic polymer including: 75-98 wt.% (hereinafter, represented as just %) of an acrylic monomer represented by the formula, CH2=C(R1)COOR2; 0.5-10% of an acrylamide monomer represented by the formula, CH2=C(R3)CONR4R5; 1-6% of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid (anhydride); and 0-20% of other copolymerizable monomer, as monomer units. In the formulas, R1 is H or CH3; R2 is a 1-14C alkyl; R3 is R1; R4 and R5 are each H or a 1-4C alkyl or a ring formed by combining together with N atoms adjacent to each other. The composition has no problem on a pot life and is excellent in a sealability of a corrugated carton at a low temperature and in adhesion to a polyolefinic adherend. |
