PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-liquid separator capable of separating a fine granular solid component and a liquid with small required driving power and not generating vibration and noises without making the whole device large. SOLUTION: This solid-liquid separator is provided with a belt transportation device 1 having a water-permeable endless transportation belt 4, a feeder 2 for discharging a solid-liquid mixture on the transportation belt 4 and a water absorbing device 3 containing at least one pair of water absorbing rollers 10, 11 consisting of upper and lower rollers arranged in the further front of the movement direction of the transportation belt 4 than the feeder 2 and formed so as to sandwich the transportation belt 4 vertically.
