PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate and remove fine solids and non-solid soft floating sludge and to dissolve clogging of the membrane by holding spaces in screens made by laminating belt like steel plate-made fixing plates and working plates by a specified distance at a little slidable state, making a water inflow side of a water bath airtight, and providing a liquid filtrate path at a sewage inflow pipe and the upper part. SOLUTION: The metallic membrane 11 made by laminating the steel plate-made fixing plates 1 and the working plates 2 with a little space and integrally connected with a fixing shaft 3 and a working shaft 4, is installed in the water bath 7 in an airtight state at a filtering side, and the sewage is force-fed from the inflow pipe 8 to filter it at the lower surface side, and the liquid filtrate is transported from the upper part via a water path 9. The working plates 2 and the working shaft 4 are linked to a driving shaft 10 to reciprocate the working plates 2, then the sewage flows from the lower part fixing plate side surface into the spaces with the fixing plates 1 and the working plates 2 via the inflow pipe 8, and the sludge stopped with a steel plate, remaining and clogging the inlet is excluded with a reciprocating movement of the working plates 2, then a new filtering surface is prepared, and remaining sludge at the inflow side is transported with a sludge discharge pipe 12. Thus, the fine solid sludge and the soft nonsolid floating sludge can be separated and removed, and the clogging can be mechanically dissolved.
