PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent conspicuousness of irregularities generated in a side wall of a tire, also prevent or suppress inferiority of outward appearance of the tire generated in an adjacent part of drilling start and end by gradually wearing out a knife edge of a tool in the case of forming a recessed part in a mold. SOLUTION: In a pneumatic tire formed with many rectangular decorative bodies 2 with a space apart in a peripheral direction in a surface of at least one side wall 1, a plurality of small thin width recessed parts of about 0.3 to 1.5 mm depth and about 1 to 4 mm sectional width are arranged in almost parallel to each other and in almost equal space in the decorative body 2, and the thin width recessed part is extended while gradually increasing and/or decreasing the depth from one end part to the other end part in a lengthwise direction.
