PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent filth from entering into a space between a fold stop and an insertion portion flexible tube by integrating the fold stop with the insertion portion flexible tube in a device attaching a cylindrical fold stop composed of an elastic material in such a state as surrounding the base end part of the insertion part flexible tube. SOLUTION: A base part of an insertion portion flexible tube 1 is connected to the bottom end of a handle 2 of an endoscope and an handle knob on the handle 2 is rotationally operated so that the bent part in a distal end of the flexible tube 1 is bent in the arbitrary direction. The flexible tube 1 is so formed that a net like tube is covered over the outer surface of a metal spiral tube and a fold stop 30 formed of an elastic rubber material into a cylindrical shape is so attached as surrounding the base end part of the flexible tube 1. In this case, the inside diameter of the fold stop 30 is formed larger than the flexible tube 1 in the base side, while the tip side from the intermediate part is formed smaller than the flexible tube 1 so as to be closely attached to the outer surface of the flexible tube 1, thereby preventing the filth from entering therein.
