PURPOSE: A dash insulator is provided to increase the effect for absorbing and insulating the sound by adding a light addition and to reduce the weight compared with the volume in a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An insulator(2) is equipped inside a panel of car body(1) installed for the sound absorption and the insulation outside an instrument panel of a vehicle. The insulator is composed by laminating a cushion layer(3) and a heavy layer(4). The cushion layer(3) has the effect to absorb the sound and the heavy layer(4) has the effect to insulate the sound. The cushion layer(3) uses the felt or the polyurethane foaming body and the heavy layer(4) is added with the CaCO2 or the BaSO4 in the PVC(polyvinyl chloride) or the EVA(ethylene vinyl acetate). To reduce the weight of the dash insulator, the soda-lime-borosilicate as a light addition is added in the EVA and the inorganic materials of the heavy layer. |
